Profile

Tom Barber, a left-arm pacer, represented Hampshire Cricket Academy in Southern Premier League and Hampshire second XI, before being picked up by Middlesex. His famous victims were New Zealand's Kane Williamson and Yorkshire skipper Andrew Gale – the two wickets he took against Yorkshire in a 50-over first-class game but he himself was dismissed for a duck by English leg-spinner Adil Rashid in the same match.

Earlier in 2018, Barber fractured England captain Eoin Morgan's thumb in one of Middlesex’s training sessions and that is enough to prove how quick and skiddy he is as a bowler. The youngster also broke Stuart Meaker’s record for the fastest delivery at the national performance centre in Loughborough. Tom Barber played two T20s for Middlesex in 2017, before he made his first-class debut for Middlesex against Glamorgan in April 2018.
