Profile

A bank clerk by trade, Saqlain Haider is a Pakistan-born cricketer, who represents UAE in international cricket. Haider is a wicket-keeper batsman, who made his ODI debut against Afghanistan in December 2014.

He came into the limelight after he was asked by the Australians to keep wickets in the second innings of their warm-up match against Pakistan 'A' in UAE. This was done to allow Brad Haddin to rest ahead of their first Test against Pakistan in 2014.

Haider was picked in the UAE squad for the 2015 World Cup even though he didn't make any major contributions with the bat prior to that. In the only ODI innings he played before the World Cup, he scored 28 runs.
