Profile

A middle order batsman who can bowl handy off-breaks, Aadil Ali made his first-class debut for Leicestershire against Kent in 2015. But, it wasn't a debut to remember as the right handed batsman had scores of 13 & 8 against Kent in that county clash. Known for his talent with the bat, Aadil had a decent 2015 season in Specsavers County Championship but he couldn't really convert his starts into big scores.

Couple of his match-defining knocks came during the Royal One-Day Cup wherein the youngster replaced Neil Dexter and scored back-to-back half centuries - against Worcestershire and Warwickshire respectively. In order to become a regular member of Leicestershire, Aadil needs to improve on his bowling skills. Also, he needs to convert his fifties into big scores and with the amount of talent he possesses, he certainly can do that. With age by his side, Ali has a long way to go.
