Profile

Born in Guyana, Rajendra Chandrika, is a West Indian opener who made his first-class debut against Trinidad and Tobago in January 2010. Playing for the West Indies Cricket Board President's XI, he scored 74 against Australia in a warm-up match at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in Antigua in May 2015.

His performance in that particular game pushed him into the limelight and he was immediately rewarded with a place in the Test side. He made his Test debut against Australia in the second Test of the series after Marlon Samuels was ruled out with an injury.

Chandrika though had a forgettable Test debut as he got out for 0 in both the innings, becoming only the 40th player in the history of the game to score a pair of ducks on Test debut.
