Dhiman Ghosh is a Bangladeshi wicketkeeper batsman who began playing cricket for the Chittagong Division, making his debut in 2004/05. Prior to that he had been playing age-group cricket playing a lot of Under-19 games and earning a spot in the Bangladesh A side in the 2003-2004 season. He made his ODI debut in March 2008 against South Africa and has scored 126 runs in 13 matches.
Although touted as being better than Mushfiqur Rahim, Ghosh risked his career when he signed for the Dhaka Warriors in 2008, who participated in the rebel Indian Cricket League (ICL). He was banned by the Bangladesh Cricket Board for 10 years. He opted out of the league after one season but the selectors sparked another controversy by rejecting him since he belonged to Hindu community.
