Profile

A tall lanky leg-spinner, Usama born in Sialkot made his domestic debut in 2013 playing for Khan Research Laboratories. He has also been a part of the Sialkot Stallions T20 franchise as well. In edition one of the PSL, Karachi Kings bought the services of Usama.

His talk frame helps him to extract extra bounce from the wicket. He has a deceptive googly as well and is not afraid to toss it up even in the shorter formats of the game. In the second edition of the PSL, he was asked to bowl the final over in a game against Peshawar Zalmi with 19 needed and Shahid Afridi on strike. He won Karachi a crucial game picking up the wickets of Afridi and Hasan Ali. He has been earmarked as a player who can go onto represent Pakistan at the top-level.
