A young top-order batsman coming through the ranks at Free State and Knights. Leus du Plooy a left-hander is making steady progress in his short career, which started in 2014 when he made his debut in a T20 game for Free State.

du Plooy has continued to flourish in domestic cricket and was also part of the South Africa Emerging Players squad. In the handful of matches played in first class, he has over 1000 runs with three hundreds in the longer form of the game.

He is also a handy left-arm spinner, who is used as a part-timer. du Plooy has plenty of time left to make a mark and by Benoni Zalmi picking him for the Global T20 League, it gives him the opportunity to showcase his talent.
