Samuel Evans - England - Batsman

Opening batsman - Sam Evans made his first-class debut for Loughborough MCCU against Leicestershire and earned a summer contract in his first year of a degree course. He played an extraordinary knock of 114 as a 19-year-old for Loughborough MCCU against Northamptonshire and smacked 16 gorgeous boundaries and three exquisite sixes in that innings.

Sam has played only played for Leicestershire second XI so far and his worth mentioning contributions have come against Northamptonshire second XI. In July 2019, he scored another polite fifty against them and Leicestershire 2nd XI won that match by an innings and 6 runs.
