Australia
Figures of 8/35 are not something you see often, particularly in an international game and yet, those were Lloyd Pope's figures in Australia's quarter-final against England in the 2018 Under-19 World Cup. Easy to spot in a crowd because of his 'flowing red hair' and a leg-spinner by trade, Pope's jaw-dropping performance in that game is what thrust him into the limelight. Talent like his did not go unnoticed. He made his first-class debut for South Australia in 2018/19 and his List-A debut followed a year later in 2019/20. In the interim, Pope had already been a part of the title-winning Sydney Sixers in the 2018/19 edition of the BBL. He moved to the Adelaide Strikers in 2023/24.
