Profile

Nalkande is a skiddy young fast bowler from Vidarbha, who is just five first-class matches old. He started off as a bowler, but began honing his skills with the bat and evolved as a fine all-rounder. He was picked in the India U-19 team for the youth Asia cup and also made it to the probables of the World Cup squad, but couldn't make the cut into the final squad. Nalkande showed his might both with bat and ball in the U-23 CK Nayudu Trophy which brought him into the limelight. Vidarbha's selectors rewarded him by picking him in the Vijay Hazare squad and he had a good debut against Maharashtra - picking up 2/26 and scored an unbeaten 53 while chasing, guiding Vidarbha to an improbable win.

He then made his Ranji Trophy debut, coincidentally against Maharashtra. Only two games old, he's shown great resolve. Darshan was called up to the Kings XI Punjab trails and displayed his all-round skills which prompted the franchise to swoop him up in the auctions.
