Timil Patel - United States - Bowling Allrounder

A former India U19 product, Timil Patel has his roots in Gujarat and also played First-class cricket for close to a decade, although the appearances weren’t abundant. Primarily a batsman who could bowl leg spin, Patel didn’t have a successful domestic stint in India and hence, it didn’t come as a surprise when he shifted base to USA in 2010 with an aim of entering another field. However, with the country itself trying to enter the sport, Patel’s return to the sport was inevitable and he soon made his debut for USA in 2012. With the modern era being all about wrist spin, especially in limited-overs cricket, Patel has quickly become one of the dependable wicket-taking bowlers in his team. In fact, he even became the highest wicket-taker in T20s for USA in 2015, a brisk growth that’s enhanced his reputation. His seniority in the side and leadership qualities have seen him being a filler captain at times. With USA gaining ODI status in April 2019, Patel will be hopeful to show his wares across the globe on a frequent basis.
