Profile

Blonde-haired, clean striker of the cricket ball, Edward John Pollock came into limelight in 2017 Natwest T20 Blast representing Warwickshire after replacing a struggling Ian Bell at the top of the order. Pollock smashed a 40-ball 66 in his debut game against the likes of Matt Henry, Hardus Viljoen, and Imran Tahir and one of the startling facts about that knock was that he had borrowed the bat from Chris Woakes who later termed Pollock as a 'fresh energy' in the side.

Pollock's debut season had a mix of decent and stunning performances with the bat, a role that he thoroughly enjoyed having taken his side into the finals with a sparkling fifty in the semi-final against Glamorgan. A Durham MCCU product, Pollock spent several years in the youth system at Worcestershire before representing Minor Counties cricket for Herefordshire.

His impeccable hitting ability earned him a place in the Royal London One Day competition for Warwickshire in 2018 where he managed 174 runs in 7 innings at an average of 24.85 with a sole fifty against his name.
