Profile

The CSA Sunfoil Three-Day Cup Cricketer of the Year at the recent CSA Awards, Janneman Malan is a young right handed batsman who has scored heavily in South Africa's domestic cricket. With a first-class average of 55-odd and a List-A average of 50-plus, Malan scored 500 runs in the One-Day Challenge and 1046 runs in the Sunfoil Three-Day Cup for North West. As a result of his prolific performances, the right handed batsman was picked by the Cobras for the 2018-19 season.

The youngster has represented North West University, Northers Under 17s and Under 19s as well as the South African Under 19 team. This shows the amount of talent and potentials Malan has. Few of his highest domestic scores in 2018 have been (131*, 116, 91, 83, 69, 68, 66*) - including first-class and List-A cricket. With a wide array of shots and ability to score consistently, Janneman Malan can be considered as a future prospect for the Proteas international team, especially in the longest format.
