India
There are a few similarities between him and Rishabh Pant - born in Uttarakhand, plays domestic cricket for Delhi, aggressive left-handed batter and a wicketkeeper. However, Anuj Rawat has struggled for consistency. Rawat made his first class debut against Assam and played an inspiring knock of 71 on his debut innings. Owing to his impressive performance in the first innings, Rawat was straight away promoted to an opener in the second innings. A top-order batter who likes to play his shots, Rawat was first roped in by Rajasthan Royals in 2020 but he barely got any opportunities - faced just one delivery in two seasons. Following a decent white-ball domestic season, he was bought by Royal Challengers Bangalore for Rs. 3.4 crore in 2022. He was part of the franchise for three seasons, batted at various positions, registered just one fifty and played only a few cameos.
