Profile

Born in Beaudesert, Lachlan Pfeffer came into the scene for Queensland following the retirement of wicket-keeper Chris Hartley. Having started his professional career as a school teacher, Pfeffer played for Laidley in the Ipswich competition where he realized he could play at a much higher level. In his first-class debut, Pfeffer scored 36 & 2 but his other team members displayed some fine skills with the bat as they won the Sheffield Shield game in Brisbane by 206 runs. It wasn't Pfeffer who kept wickets in that contest, but it was his competition Jimmy Peirson who did so.

Since his debut innings of 36, Pfeffer has played quite a few times, but hasn't able to go past his own score of 36. That still remains to be his highest first-class score. The wicketkeeper-batsman has represented the Queensland Under-17 and Under-19 teams; he still has a lot of cricket left in him. His first-class debut came in early 2018 and if Pfeffer is able to come up with some versatile contributions in near future, he might even get a chance to represent Queensland Bulls in the 50-over format.
