Profile

Vikrant Shetty is an India-born UAE middle-order batsman who has also played for the Emirates Cricket Board. He also acts as a spinner. He made his ODI debut in 2008 against Bangladesh in the Asia Cup.

In 2011 during an Intercontinental Cup clash against Afghanistan, where Shetty made his first class debut, he was reported for suspect bowing action by the umpires. Following his suspension, Shetty worked on his action at the ICC Global Cricket Academy (GCA), under the supervision of head coaches Dayle Hadlee and Mudassar Nazar. After undergoing remedial work on his action, he was finally cleared by his home board to bowl at the international level in 2012.

Shetty made his T20I debut in the 2014 World T20. He could only manage to score 11 runs in the 2 games that he played.
