Abzal Dean, born in Trinidad & Tobago, represented his birth country at the Under-19 level before moving to Canada. He is fondly known as Mani. He is a right-arm off-spinner who has represented Canada in 2 T20Is and taken a couple of wickets. His debut in the format came against Sri Lanka in October 2008. He played his second T20I game in November 2013 against Kenya.
