India
Born in Mumbai, Aavishkar Salvi modelled his bowling action on Glenn McGrath, but he could not be as consistent as the Australian pacer. Making his first-class debut during the 2001-02 season, Salvi impressed the national selectors very soon and earned a place in India's ODI squad for the tri-series in Bangladesh in 2003. He made his debut against Bangladesh and bowled exceptionally well to register figures of 7-1-15-2. He played two more games that series before returning play an ODI against Australia. However, he was not preferred again for national duty and he went back to the domestic circuit, where he played until the 2012-13 season before hanging up his boots.
