Shahzaib Hasan - Pakistan - Batsman

A robust striker of the ball, Shahzaib Hasan was selected for the 2009 T20 World Cup on the basis of his ability to strike the ball long and hard. Although he was not a complete success, Hasan did provide some solid starts in what was a victorious campaign.

Born on 25 December 1989, Shahzaib impressed Karachi experts with his ability to slog on both sides of the ground. Good performances at the domestic level for Karachi Blues, both in the four-day as well as one-day tournament fast-tracked him into the T20 line-up.

Shahzaib’s technical weakness was exposed at the highest level though, and though he did feature in 10 T20Is and 3 ODIs, he remains in wilderness since the series against South Africa in 2010.
