Ben Rohrer - Australia - Batsman

Ben Rohrer is another Australia left-handed batsman who specializes more in the T20 format. Though he made his first-class debut with Tasmania in 2007, Ben Rohrer has featured more in the shortest format of the game and is one of the overseas players who is needed by cricket franchises across the globe.

His first-class career never took off and nor did his ODD record. Thus, he has remained in the Australian circuit as a T20 expert.

The Australian was signed by IPL side Delhi Daredevils in 2013 for whom he played a few games in the 6th season. He also played for Carribean Premier League side Antigua Hawksbills the same year alongside the likes of Ricky Ponting, Marlon Samuels and Kieran Powell. But the fate of both Daredevils and Hawkbills remained pretty much in the dumps. The very same year he got to represent Australia in a T20I against the Windies.

Back home in Australia, he was signed by the Sydney Sixers for the inaugural edition of the 2011-12 Big Bash League season but then moved to the Melbourne Renegades for the next three seasons. He had a blistering start with the Melbourne team as he tallied 295 runs in 8 games. But then his performances nosedived and he managed to score only 203 runs in the next 14 innings that he played for the Renegades. Before BBL 05, he was released and he joined Sydney Thunder. He won the BBL with his new team his debut year though his performances remained ordinary. He got to captain Thunder as regular skipper Shane Watson was injured. He had his contract renewed for BBL 07.
