Profile

Like most leg spinners, Adam Huckle too had the issue with accuracy but when in rhythm, he was as wonderful as any other fine wrist spinner. He bowled with a lot of loop and guile, getting his leg breaks to rip a fair bit and also possessed a probing googly in his arsenal. However, the lack of control over his variations and lines/lengths meant that his numbers were poor for his skill set. Huckle's father played for Rhodesia and hence, instilled the fondness for the game in him from a young age. From his schooling to cricket grooming, Huckle did it all in South Africa and was also eligible to play for the country at one point. However, form and insecurity spurred him to move back to Zimbabwe and soon after, made his international debut. Inconsistent performances meant that Huckle's career was short lived.
