Profile

You blink and miss, that is how you would describe Latif's international career. He played only one Test in 2002 against the Windies and 11 ODIs between 2001 and 2003.

However, the start to it was a wonderful one as he slammed a ton in only his 2nd ODI against Lanka in late 2001. However, he never scored a fifty again and was not picked for the 2003 World Cup as the selectors opted for Taufeeq Umar and Saleem Elahi as the top-order batsmen. The rise of Imran Farhat and Yasir Hameed despite swooping changes post the WC meant he never came back into the side.

He represented Lahore Badshahs in ICL in 2008 and ensured doors were permanently closed on him for an international reappearance.
