Mohammad Khalil

Pakistan

Profile

A left-arm pacer, Khalil was thrown at the deep end when he was asked to debut against the mighty Aussies in the season 2004-05 down under. He played a couple of Tests but went wicket-less and was carted for more than 4 runs per over.

Having played only 6 first-class games before his Test debut, Khalil did not manage another opportunity to play in Pakistan colours. His ODI debut also happened on the same tour and he ended up playing 3 ODIs. He picked 5 ODI wickets in total and the scalps included names like Adam Gilchrist and Brian Lara, perhaps his highest point playing for Pakistan.

He was again recalled after almost 6 seasons for a tour to Bangladesh due to an injury to then preferred Junaid Khan. But was dropped again for the next series against England.
