Profile

Amay Khurasiya, the swashbuckling left-handed batsman from Madhya Pradesh, had a fine career in the domestic circuit, where he aggregated over 7,000 runs. However, in the dozen ODIs he played for his country, Khurasiya's tendency to flash at almost anything outside off led to his downfall. Khurasiya notched up just one fifty in the ODI arena and that came against Sri Lanka in a tri-series held in India in 1999.

Khurasiya was also selected for the World Cup held in England in 1999, but didn't play a single game. He made his final appearance for the country in a ODI against Sri Lanka in 2001. Khurasiya was certainly known for his batting exploits in First-Class cricket. He aggregated over 500 runs in a season quite a few times. Khurasiya played his last First-Class game for Madhya Pradesh against Vidarbha in 2006.
