New Zealand
An occasional keeper-batsman, Bryan Young had a dramatic turnaround when he reinvented himself as am opening batsman. Young was given his Test debut against Australia in 1993. Though Australia romped to an innings victory Young showcased his solid technique and unflappable temperament with a fifty in the second innings to go with the 38 runs in the first.
He hit 2 centuries in 35 Tests, both coming in winning causes. Young was more used as a floater in the limited overs format.
