A solid right-handed batsman batsman, who can pitch in with left-arm some leggies, Sew Shivnarine was the pivot around the Guyana middle order revolved in the 1970's. At 25 years, Shivnarine inaugurated his Test career with gritty fifties in each innings of his maiden Test against Australia. He played 7 more Test to finish with 379 runs at an average close to 30. Shivnarine continued playing for Guyana until 1981, after which he migrated to the United States.

He led the US national side for around 10 years before switching to coaching.

Facts:
1. Sew Shivnarine is the first cricketer from Albion to play Test cricket.
2. In 2012, he was inducted into the Berice Cricket Board Hall of Fame.
