Profile

A left-handed middle order batsman, who can pitch in with the ball as well, Keith Arthurton was a regular feature in the West Indies ODI team of the 90's. He featured in 105 ODIs, hitting close to 2000 runs in addition to picking up 42 wickets. He was capable of unleashing some booming strokes in contrast to his strike rate of 67.46. Overall he scored 9 half-centuries in limited overs cricket with his career best score of 84 coming against the Aussies in Sharjah in a winning cause.

He composed 8 fifties and 2 tons in the Test format but bouts of inconsistency meant that he was shunted in and out of the team. His limited overs stock plummeted after a string of poor performances in the 1996 World Cup in which he scored a paltry 2 runs in 5 innings. He played his last international match in 1999 during the World Cup.
