Profile

A strongly built left-hander who hails from Mashonaland District and started his career with Plumtree High School. He represented the U-19 side in 1998 and 2000, and joined the CFX Academy in 2001. Duffin shifted from Midlands to Matabeleland, the move brought rich dividends as he scored heavily in his first season and was selected for the tour of Bangladesh. However, he did not get to play a single game and got his chance when the senior players rebelled against the Cricket Board.

Then coach Kevin Curran, named him the skipper of the side even before he had played an ODI. During the 2006 Caribbean tour, he was found wanting and was not able to score at the rate which was needed in ODIs, which prompted the selectors to strip him of the captaincy on the eve of the series against Bangladesh in 2006, he played just the one game after that. Duffin continues playing for Matabeleland in the domestic circuit and hopes for a return to the national side.
