Profile

Brian McMillan a right-hand fast bowler and more than a useful batsman was considered as one of the best all-rounder's in 1990's. He played his first Test when South Africa returned to international cricket in 1992 against Indian. His impact was such that, when he missed the tour to Australia due to an injury, then captain Kepler Wessels stated, \"We needed Big Mac\".

McMillan used those forearms of his to good effect. He was often promoted up the order to get quick runs, he has scored 3 Test hundreds and 1 ODI hundred. He was well known as \"big brother\" of the South African team because he was called upon whenever a wicket was needed, runs had to be scored at a fast pace or they had to sledge the opposition.

For a big guy, McMillan was very agile in the slip cordon and has the highest percentage of catches per Test for an outfielder. He retired from all forms of cricket in 2000 and became a professional teacher at the Durban university. As of now he heads an office automation firm in Cape Town.
