England
An off-spinner who pushed the ball quicker through the air, Geoff Cope played 3 Tests and 2 ODIs for England between 1977-78. He could have had a longer run if not for the doubts over the legality of his bowling action. However, he showed a great deal of guts, remodelling his action twice and returning to the international stage.
Unfortunately his international career failed to take off. He continued to toil hard for Yorkshire, capturing 600+ wickets. After retirement from all forms of cricket in 1983, Cope became a Vice-President at FC Halifx Town.
