England
A reliable wicket-keeper batsman, Bruce French, played 16 Tests and 13 ODIs for England before losing his spot to Jack Russell. Though his wicket-keeping was sound, there were plenty of question marks over his batting. After his playing career, French joined the 1990 rebel tour to South Africa. He now coaches Matt Prior and continues to be involved with cricket.
