Martin McCague

England

Profile

A bustling quick in the truest sense of the word, Martin McCague finished as one the finest pacers in the history of Kent Cricket. McCague, who was born in Ulster and raised in Australia, carved out a niche for himself in county cricket but was found out on the international stage. He had a reasonably good Test debut though, in which he hustled the Aussies at Trent Bridge, taking the wickets of Mark Taylor, David Boon, Steve Waugh and Tim May.

However, he fell short of sustaining the early promise and his Test career was restricted to only 3 matches.

Fun fact: McCague consumed 72 pints of Guinness during a stag weekend in Dublin.
