Profile

Farhad Reza is a Bangladeshi middle-order batsman, who was a part of the Bangladesh Under-19 and the A squads before playing for the national side. He made his first-class debut in 2005 for Rajshahi Division against Chittagong Division and scored a brilliant 99 in the first innings. Soon after, he made his ODI debut against Zimbabwe in 2006. He scored a 57-ball fifty, becoming the first Bangladeshi to score a half-century on debut.

Reza continued to deliver good performances in the series that followed and became a regular part of the ODI as well as T20I teams. He even took a maiden 5-wicket haul in 2008 in an ODI against Ireland. However, he was handed a 10-year ban by the BCB soon after for joining the ICL. He quit the league the next season but took another two years to get back to the international scene.

On return, Reza played international cricket again in November 2011 and slowly grew comfortable in the T20I side. He was a part of Bangladesh's squad for the 2012 World T20 in Sri Lanka. He last appeared in a T20I in the 2014 World T20 game against Hong Kong in Chittagong.
