Profile

Hiren Varaiya is an Indian-born Kenyan leg-spinner, best known for taking a wicket on his first ball in ODI cricket when he dismissed Canada's Ashish Bagai when he debuted in 2006.

In the 2006-2007, he took 22 wickets for Kenya Select XI in the Logan Cup. He made his T20I debut in 2007 against Bangladesh and remained wicket-less in that game.

In one of his best ODI performances, his 3-53 against Zimbabwe in October 2008 helped his team achieve victory by 95 runs. Although he is a regular part of the ODI team, he has not enjoyed much success in the T20 format.
