Born on 15 October 1985, Yasir Ali made his Test debut against Bangladesh at the age of 19. Ali's potential came to the fore when he was playing for Attock Hazro. He was selected for the Pakistan Cricket Academy soon after, where he went for a successful tour of South Africa.
While his Test debut was reasonable, Yasir has since then fallen off the radar of the national selectors. While his domestic performances continue to remain positive, he has been overtaken by a host of promising young bowlers.
