Adam Sanford

West Indies

Profile

A stockily built pacer, who hits the deck hard, Adam Sanford became the first indigenous Carib to play for West Indies. He made his debut against India in the first Test at Guyana. He was quite listless, proving to be easy pickings for the famed Indian middle order. He featured in the entire Test series against India with some up and down spells. He toured New Zealand in 2002 but was removed from the return leg of the India series.

He clawed his back back into the side after a near two year hiatus but struggled to impress. He later shifted base, going onto represent USA in ICC World T20 qualifiers.
