Profile

Nelson Mandela Odhiambo, named after their famous African leader, is a young medium-fast bowler who has represented Kenya Under-19s and Kenya A squads. He is the nephew of the Kenyan stalwart Thomas Odoyo and even opened the bowling with him once during the World Cricket League Division One tournament in Netherlands in July 2010. Although, his batting skill lacks finesse, he has proved to be a promising bowler.

Odhiambo made his T20I debut against Scotland in February 2010 and he followed that up with his ODI debut just a few days later against Netherlands. However, he has not enjoyed particular success in both the formats so far. His best ODI bowling figures till date are against Scotland in June 2013 when he picked up 3/48.
