Profile

A Hampshire club product, Benny over the years has groomed himself into a T20 expert. His cutters, slower balls and knuckle deliveries ruled the roost in the 2016 T20 Championship and he ended up with 24 wickets to top the bowling charts. Identified mostly as a batting all-rounder, Benny made his first-class debut for Hampshire in 2011 only to be released at the end of the season despite a gritty 71 in his maiden game against Lancashire.

Benny signed a contract in 2012 to play at the Brightside ground and became an integral part of their team in all the formats. But it was in T20s, where he realized his potential. After a good showing in 2016, Benny was picked up in the player draft for BPL as a part of the Khulna Titans side. Howell extended his stay at the club at the end of 2016 till 2019.
