West Indies
Born on May 9, 1983, Derwin Christian is a right handed wicket keeper batsman hailing from Guyana.
He is known for his late order lusty hitting and has been a regular in the Guyana squad since his debut in 2005. A strike-rate of 147 in T20 is a testament to his hitting abilities. He once scored 40 off just 13 balls against the Combined College and Campuses XI in the Caribbean domestic T20 tournament in 2010-11 to help Guyana win the match.
That knock was one of the reasons for his selection to the West Indies squad for the 2 T20 matches against England in September, 2011.
However, the Guyana keeper-batsman copped a blob in the first T20I, which unfortunately has been the only innings he has played thus far. Wish Dinesh Ramdin sparking a revival of sorts, Christian has been relegated to the sidelines.
