Profile

A tall all-rounder from Stourbridge Worcestershire, Thomas Patrick Milnes, played for Warwickshire at almost all youth-level and age-group cricket before representing the England Under 19 side in 2010 and '11. His high release and the reputation of being a valuable lower order bat helped him draw excitement from senior side, and he eventually made his First-Class debut against Durham MCCU in April 2011.

The following season he upped his game with the ball and chipped in with key wickets at crucial times, a season (2012) that saw Warwickshire seal the Championship title. After playing 14 First-Class and three List A games for the Birmingham-based club, he went onto play for Derbyshire, on loan, towards the latter stages of the 2015 County season. Derbyshire, having considered the potential he had with the ball, offered him a two-year contract at the end of that season. He played 11 First-Class games (2015-17) for them and was also a active part of the second eleven side.

With opportunities getting slimmer at Derbyshire, the club released him at the end of the 2017 Championship season and he later went onto play for Sussex second eleven before rejoining his old club Warwickshire in July 2018.
