Profile

Rameez Raja, born on 31st July, 1987, is a Pakistani all-rounder who plays for Karachi in the domestic competition. He made his first-class debut in 2006 and showed immense potential with the bat in all formats of the game. His first major contribution came while playing for the Pakistan U-19 team in 2006. The team reached the final as they took on India at the R. Premadasa stadium in Colombo.

On an under-prepared track, Pakistan were bowled out for 109 with Rameez Raja top scoring with 25. However, Pakistan managed to defend the target, with Anwar Ali, picking up five wickets as they won the match by 38 runs to lift the U-19 World Cup trophy..

He was the leading run-scorer for the Karachi Dolphins in the Faysal Bank T-20 Cup in 2011. In five matches, he scored 238 runs, at a strike rate of 159.8 with a highest score of 97. This impressed the selectors and they chose him for the two T20Is in Pakistan's tour of Zimbabwe in September 2011.
