Profile

Born in Rangpur, Tanveer Haider is an all-rounder who bats in the lower-middle order and bowls leg spin. He made his first-class debut for Sylhet Division in 2000 and played just two games. Later, he played his maiden List A game for BCB XI against a visiting England XI team.

He notched up his maiden First-class century in the 2012-13 season playing for Rangpur Division. His performance amplified in the next season, where he scored more than 400 runs with the bat and scalped 12 wickets. He went past the 400-run mark in 2015-16 as well. But, his form with the ball dipped.

Tanveer played in the 2016 edition of Bangladesh Premier League for Dhaka Dynamites who finished as the champions. However, he was picked for only one game and didn't contribute much. Later that year, he was part of the 22-men preparatory camp that was held in Australia ahead of the national team's tour to New Zealand. He made his ODI debut on 29th September 2016 against New Zealand at Nelson. He went on to play the following match as well of that series. But, he went wicketless in both matches and ended with scores of 2 and 3 with the bat.
