Profile

A right-arm fast bowler, Imran Khan, made his international debut in the first Test against Australia in October 2014. Imran's selection in the national team was based on merit as he enjoyed three fantastic domestic seasons in the run up to his Test debut in Dubai.

In 2011/12, he grabbed 61 wickets at an average of 19.70. In 2012/13 season, his good form continued as he snaffled 57 wickets. In 2013/14, he took 52 wickets at an average of 20.73 and was duly rewarded for his consistency by the national selectors.

In his second Test match against Australia, he took 3/60 in the first innings as the Aussies were bowled out for 261 in response to Pakistan's total of 570. Eventually, Pakistan went on to win the game by 356 runs, sealing the 2-match Test series 2-0.

However, his best performance came against the Lankans in the series-decider of the 3-match Test series in July 2015. Even though Pakistan conceded a lead of 63 runs in the first innings, Imran's 5/58 in the second innings rocked Sri Lanka and played a crucial role in his team's victory in the end.
