Profile

Having player nearly 70 first-class matches, Jiwanjot Singh is a right handed batsman who hails from Patiala. He made his debut in 2012 against Hyderabad and since then has been a regular member of Punjab in Ranji Trophy having scored over 4000 runs in first-class cricket. Playing against Madhya Pradesh in November 2018, Jiwanjot scored a cracking century as an opener and that can be called his one of the recent excellent performance.

Punjab's Ranji team has some fantastic players in the squad and to feature regularly as an opener for such a top-class side shows the quality of this player. Jiwanjot can easily play for another 5 years and if he continues performing well he can easily notch up 7000 or more runs in first-class cricket. His ability to play swing against the new ball and skills to hit the spinners make him one of the vital cogs in Punjab's playing XI.
