Najeeb Tarakai - Afghanistan - Batsman

Najeeb Tarakai is an aggressive opener from Afghanistan who made his T20I debut during World T20 2014 in Dhaka. It wasn't a great outing for the youngster as Afghanistan were bundled out for a paltry score of 72 against Bangladesh with Najeeb's contribution being only 7 runs as an opener. However, Tarakai's first-class numbers are impressive as he has scored eight centuries at an average in excess of 40 and a strike rate in the higher 90s.

Due to the presence of destructive openers like Shahzad and Zazai in Afghanistan, Tarakai might find it difficult to cement a place in Afghanistan's playing XI. He's played only one ODI in his career and in order to get more chances, Tarakai will have to bat out of his skin in the opportunities he gets in near future.
