The Bangladeshis walk over, stand behind the Winners board. They won't be getting the trophy, which we're told would be handed over after the T20I series. They stand quietly. No wild celebrations. No yelling. Anyway, it's time we sign off, and until we see you around somewhere, on behalf of us, ta ta!!
Hashmatullah Shahidi | Winning captain: I am proud of the way the team came to the ground today with their heads up. Proud of the way they played. The wicket was looking a bit grassy and I was happy when Tamim batted first. We have a lot of youngsters I believe in. The way Nabi and Rashid changed the match today was fantastic.
Liton Das | MoS: I am very happy with my performance but it would have counted more had the team won. I did my job in the first 15 overs. In my mind I wanted to bat 35 overs. Had I batted for 42 overs, the game would have been a very different game. I love to bat. My wife supports me a lot and I want to dedicate this award to her.
Rahmanullah Gurbaz | MoM: I had some injury in the last game but I was completely fine today. We lost the series, but it was a strong comeback. My captain wants 100s from me, not 50s. When I get set, I try and hold my innings and play long. I was in really good form, today was my day. The other batters played really well. I was under pressure because I didn't perform in the first two games. Riaz is a young guy and he played really well.
Tamim Iqbal | Losing skipper: Very disappointed today, We were in a similar position against SL as well, where we couldn't win the last game. We played well in the middle, but lost rhythm towards the end. I thought Liton also got out at the wrong time. He was going well and was the man in form. I thought this was the most important game in the series. Although we won the series, it is all about getting points. No excuses at all. When were batting, the ball was doing a bit in the first 20 overs. We did all the hard work and then got out. Credit must go to the way Gurbaz batted, he gave chances but we didn't hold on.
18:07 Local Time, 12:07 GMT, 17:37 IST: So Bangladesh have the series, Afghanistan have their 10 points and some respect. They've just romped home today, and it's largely thanks to their spinners, who spun a web in the middle overs to derail the Bangladeshi innings that had a platform set to explode. Gurbaz then made it look real easy, adding another feather to his pretty new cap, with a stroke-filled 106. He has the Bangladeshi fielders to thank, who were extremely sloppy all through the evening. Apart from those few overs where Shakib kept it tight at the start, they just didn't look and feel in the game. Defending 192 on a subcontinental pitch is near impossible, and the hosts clearly appeared to just be going through the motions. Nevertheless, the Afghans can celebrate. They've been clinical. Stick around, we'll bring you the presentations ..
Mehidy Hasan to Gurbaz, 1 run, dug out in front of square leg, and a quick one stolen, despite the direct hit from out there. Okay, they aren't checking it, Afghanistan can officially celebrate
