A hint of controversy as we wrap up the coverage of the 3rd T20I. Was Rohit declared retired out / retired hurt. If it was the former, he couldn't have come out to bat for the second time, but is there any ambiguity in the game that he could have walked away retired hurt in the first super-over? If so, Rohit has played the rules perfectly. A 212 play 212 in the regular passage of play. A sublime hundred from Rohit after his 2 ducks in the first two games. A record 5th wicket partnership to haul India out of choppy waters at 22 for 4. It was followed by a team batting display as Afghanistan fought hard to drag the match into a super over. Another bit of controversy happened there with Nabi happy to take runs after a deflection off his body, 16 played 16 and we didn't have a winner. A second super over was played and we finally had a winner for the night. Lots of fours, sixes , wickets and an Indian win to savour for the crowd at the Chinnaswamy and we'll leave with only good memories. India now turn their attention towards red-ball cricket and the 5-match Test series against England starts shortly in Hyderabad. Afghanistan will turn attention to the one-off Test against Sri Lanka, starting on February 2nd in Colombo. The cricket season continues with plenty of T20 leagues happening across the world. Do keep watching this space for more exciting action. For now, cheers and bye..

Rohit collects the trophy and hands it over to Rinku. Jaiswal joins Rinku in lofting the trophy behind the champions hoarding. All smiles in the Indian camp and off they go...

Rohit Sharma: Player of the Match and Indian skipper: I don't remember when was the last time this happened. I think I batted 3 times in one of the IPL games. Creating the partnership was important and we (Rinku and I) kept talking to each other to not lose that intent in big games and it was a good game for us to be in, the pressure was there and was important to bat long and deep and not compromise on the intent we want to show. The last couple of series that he played, he showed what he can do with the bat. Very calm and knows his strength pretty well. He is coming off age and doing what is expected of him and he has done really well for India. Augurs well for the team moving forward, wanted someone like that at the backend and we know what he has done in the IPL and he has carried that to the Indian colors as well.

Shivam Dube | Player of the Series - 124 runs and 2 wickets from 3 games: As an all-rounder you always want to be the Player of the Series, and this is something new I achieved in my life and it feels really good. We scored a lot of runs on this ground and we thought we would win before the superover, but such is cricket and well done to both teams. There are many things I want to improve, especially in my bowling and I'm trying to get better with each passing game.

Ibrahim Zadran | Afghanistan skipper: We are happy with the overall performance. We played good cricket, unfortunately we lost in the superover. We got lots of positives from this series and this experience will help us in the upcoming T20 World Cup. The boys gave their best in these 3 games. We never played this kind of cricket in T20, especially against India and in batting department as well. Really happy. We will take some positives from this series and focus on improving a little bit in the T20 World Cup.

Ravi Bishnoi: The pressure was there, the heartbeat was racing, but I was confident about getting the job done. I was told by the captain that I'll bowl - I knew it wouldn't be easy for them if I bowl back of the length ball, it would be tough to smash on the back-foot. It gives a lot of pleasure to defend during the super overs. I'm happy with the way the ball is leaving my hand. My only thought is to ensure that the batter doesn't get himself used to only one type of delivery, I've worked on my leg-spin in the nets and at the domestic levels.

India win the second Super Over and win the series 3-0 Afghanistan could only score 1 run. The home camp is all smiles. The fans have got their moneys worth. What a move to bowl Bishnoi and how cool of the spinner to keep his calm! Afghanistan seem gutted. Gurbaz cannot believe they came so close to a win, yet finish on the losing side. Ibrahim looks in despair.

Ball 3: Bishnoi to Gurbaz, OUT! Caught by Rinku. India win by 10 runs in the second super-over. Phew! This was some game and India have somehow avoided defeat. Was pushed through outside off and Gurbaz flat-batted it straight down long-off's throat. Gurbaz c Rinku b Bishnoi 0 (1). AFG 1 for 2

Ball 2: Bishnoi to Karim Janat, 1 run. Full and wide of off, Janat slices the drive to the left of cover and rushes across for a quick single. Superb execution from Bishnoi...Afghanistan are 1/1, need 11 to win.

Ball 1: Bishnoi to Nabi, OUT! Caught by Rinku. A wicket first ball and Rohit has been vindicated, was a flatter delivery outside off and Nabi got a massive top-edge on the pull, went high and down towards long-off where Rinku completed the catch. Nabi c Rinku b Bishnoi 0 (1). AFG - 0/1 - need 12 off 5 balls

Avesh and Bishnoi are having a bowl, not sure who'll bowl to defend the 11 that India have got in the second super-over. Looks like it'll be Avesh who has been given the duty. Gurbaz and Nabi are walking out, looks like Ibrahim Zadran is the 3rd batter. No, a late call by Rohit and it'll be Bishnoi

Ball 5: Fareed Ahmad to Samson, runout! Rohit tries to steal a bye after Samson swung and missed. Gurbaz had all three stumps to aim at and he he ignited the stumps. It was a full toss wide of off stump, Samson couldn't put bat on ball, Rohit wanted strike because he was hitting the ball well but Gurbaz was brilliant. India all-out for 11. Afghanistan need only 12 to win. Rohit run out (Gurbaz) 11(3)

Samson is the new man in for India

Ball 4: Fareed Ahmad to Rinku, OUT, Caught by Gurbaz!! Rinku swings and hard and misses and Afghanistan review. Seemed like there was a sound but not given. Gurbaz was confident. Rinku seems to be walking. Full and outside off stump, Rinku lost shape as he went really hard, gets an outside edge and UltraEdge picks up the spike. Rinku c Gurbaz b Fareed 0(1) - India 11/1

Shouts of Rinku, Rinku from the crowd

Ball 3: Fareed Ahmad to Rohit, 1 run, full and wide of off stump, steered to deep backward point. India are 11/0.

Ball 2: Fareed Ahmed to Rohit Sharma, FOUR, streaky, but it all counts, fuller length delivery and slanting across the right-hander, Rohit threw his hands on the drive, gets a thick edge that went flying over backward point. IND 10 for 0

Ball 1: Fareed Ahmad to Rohit, SIX! Flat-batted that hard and he beat long-off comfortably! Length delivery that was asking to be smashed, Rohit went deep inside the crease and muscled it for six. India 6 for 0.

India will bat first this time. Will Rohit get back to the middle to bat? Since he wasn't dismissed in the first super-over, he can come out to have a bat once again. Deep backward point, deep extra cover, long-off and long-on in place for the hitman...

Ball 6: Azmatullah to Jaiswal, 1 run, we go to another Super Over! What drama. This was a full delivery just outside off stump, Jaiswal slogs and toe-ends it to the keeper. Rinku goes through and Gurbaz can't run him out. India can't get another run either. Both teams get 16. Let's start the next Super Over!
