Today ends all international matches and the teams will start with the World Cup warm ups in a couple of days. So, this win for Afghanistan will keep them in a good stead heading into the mega event. That's all from us. Until next time, take care and goodbye!

Gulbadin Naib: It was the perfect finish to the series. Happy with how the boys played. Last game Ireland played really well. But the boys came back and credit goes to them. It is a big event coming up and we have had good preparations here in Ireland and Scotland. Hope we do well in the World Cup.

William Porterfield: Our overall performance let us down. They played better than us. I was a bit 50-50 about the surface. Yeah, if we had got a couple of early wickets then things would have been different. They (Afghanistan) bowled in the good areas longer. This month was all about getting the players some game time.

Paul Stirling, Man of the Series: We would have liked to wrap the series today. We didn't manage to pick early wickets and put pressure on them. I am not sure (about the 600-odd runs that I have scored this year) but I am happy that it is coming off.

17:54 Local Time, 16:54 GMT, 22:24 IST: The chase came to an end when the second wicket partnership was broken between Stirling and Balbirnie. It also showed how much the Ireland team relies on that pair. They have been the in-form batsmen for a while now and once Gulbadin Naib sent them back in successive overs the wheels came off. There were a couple of starts but nothing to scare Afghanistan who were back to their best after losing the first game. Newly appointed skipper Naib led from the front with a maiden ODI 5-fer and the rest of the bowlers supported him perfectly.
