So that brings an end to this nail-biting finish. The next ODI will be on Friday after a couple of days rest. Zimbabwe have managed to keep themselves alive in this series. It's their batting that's letting them down. Can they come with a better batting effort in the fourth ODI and give their bowlers something to work with? We will be nice and early for that game. Until then, it's a goodbye from all of us here. Ta Ta!!
Tendai Chatara: That's what we had to do (when he was asked if picking up wickets was the key for success). We wanted to get wickets in this low scoring game or else it would have always been difficult.
Sean Williams: It's always nice to get some wickets and make some difference for the team. I realized the ball was turning and tossed it up to draw the batsman forward and trouble them.
Sean Williams and Tendai Chatara have been awarded the Man of the Match
Phew!! What a game of cricket this was. These low scoring games are always exciting. At one stage Afghanistan gave no chance for the hosts, until Sean Williams and Chris Mpofu were brought back to the attack. They together picked five wickets for five runs to keep themselves alive in this series. The visitors didn't have a great start, but the target wasn't that big to trouble them. They needed 8 runs before the carnage began. Chatara bowled out his heart at the start. He went on to bowl his quota of overs on the trot.
Sean Williams to Amir Hamza, out Caught by Richard Ngarava!! Oh yes! Zimbabwe have done it. They have snatched a victory from the jaws of defeat and win by three runs. It was short delivery, but not much room to cut. Amir Hamza goes for it and slices it straight to backward point. Richard Ngarava hangs onto it. Everyone run in to towards Sean Williams to celebrate.
