Afghanistan won by 21 runs
PLAYER OF THE MATCH : Fazalhaq Farooqi
Batter
Bowler
Yorkers, swinging balls, seaming balls, bounce... add all of this with tight lines, Fazalhaq Farooqi was a treat to watch today. If not for him, Zimbabwe would have got a lot closer and anything could have happened at the end. Nabi and Co. have sealed the T20I series. Can they sweep the series or will Zimbabwe pick up a consolation win. Join us back on Tuesday to find out. Take care!
Fazalhaq Farooqi | Player of the Match: I would like to congratulate the people of Afghanistan for this win. I was working on my variations. I am very happy to play for the country. It is a great honour for a youngster. I will keep trying to do well for my country and the team.
Mohammad Nabi: God total on the board. Pitch was aiding the bowlers who took pace off. Zimbabwe batted well at the end. Farooqi bowled brilliantly at the end, that's why the match changed. He is very good in the middle and he can finish well too. Farooqi was outstanding with the ball. Fielders dropped a few catches, so we need to improve.
Craig Ervine: I think we did well to restrict them to 170 and I thought if we had a good powerplay we can do this but we left too much to do at the back end. Chasing 170 you always want to get to 40-50 in the powerplay but it didn't happen. Hopefully we will put up a good fight on Tuesday.
16:29 Local Time, 14:29 GMT, 19:59 IST: 170 was too much for Zimbabwe. They could have come a lot close had they got a good start. Innocent Kaia hardly got going and that put pressure on the rest of the batters. They were almost down and out, until determined Sikander Raza came out with intent and even took Rashid apart. Suddenly with 32 runs off 2 overs Zimbabwe looked like they were edging ahead but champion Rashid got Raza and Burl in the same over to seal the deal.
